When someone told him that his yacht had started drifting, he said he climbed aboard to find three of his four anchor lines were cut. His lines were extremely thick and more durable than most, and they appeared to have been sliced with a special sharp knife or piece of machinery.

This news story is surprising! A big, old boat (yacht) ended up on someone’s land!
The owner of the yacht says strong winds partly caused the boat to drift and crash. But, there’s more to the story!
The owner believes someone cut the thick ropes that hold the boat in place (called anchor lines). He thinks this was done on purpose (vandalism) to hurt him!
The owner even has scary text messages that seem to threaten him. These messages arrived after another boat of his had problems.
However, the police haven’t confirmed if the boat lines were really cut on purpose. Maybe the lines just broke in the storm?
We don’t know for sure what happened yet. Was this a mean trick or just bad luck?
Only the police investigation will tell!
